In the Philippines there are a lot of medicinal plants that can be found. They assure that it is safe and effective. The Department of Health in the Philippines approved these samples of medicinal plants.

There are many kinds of medicinal plants in the Philippines that can be used for different illnesses.

Ampalaya (bitter gourd/ melon) (scientific name momordica charantia) it is used to heal diabetes and now for HIV. There are also medicinal plants used by Filipinos to treat cough and sore throats.

Cough is cause by the respiratory tract infection and it can be cause by choking, smoking, asthmas and air pollution.

Kantutay roots are used for tuberculosis coughs. Boil one cup of chopped fresh leaves and flowers in 2 glasses of water for 15 minutes. ½ cup three times a day

Alagaw is a tree that can be found in the Philippines. It is already considered as a drug by Filipinos. It is effective for loosen phlegm and relieve coughs. Alagaw also benefits to tuberculosis and headaches. Alagaw is another great herbal medicine in the Philippines to relief coughs and tuberculosis.
